Ruben Shiffman is a Canadian entrepreneur and the founder of Greenland Resources Inc. and Shiffoil Inc., a Manitoba-based light oil producer now expanding into the green energy sector. He is also the Co-Founder and former Executive Chairman of Calvista Gold (TSX: CVZ), a mining company successfully sold to the AUX Group (now Mubadala).

Earlier in his career, Ruben held senior roles in capital markets, including Managing Director of Emerging Markets Trading at Scotia Capital and Vice President of Trading at TD Securities. He also contributed internationally as a member of the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland.

Ruben holds a BBA and MBA from UDLA, a Ph.D. in Finance from UNAM—where he received the National Research Award “IMEF” in 1997—and pursued doctoral studies in finance at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. He is fluent in Danish.
