Prof. Yossi Rosenwaks, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the founding head of Tel Aviv University’s Center for Renewable Energy, has been a professor of electrical engineering at TAU since 2005 after joining the faculty in 1996. He served as the president of the Israel Vacuum Society (2003-2006), and as the director of TAU’s Wolfson Center for Applied Materials Research and Gordon Center for Energy Studies (2005-2008), and the head of the Physical Electronics department 2011-2014. 

Prof. Rosenwaks leads a research group of 10 graduate students and scientists, and his current research interests include nanoscale electrical measurements using mainly Kelvin probe force microscopy, 2D materials, nanowire transistors and sensors, charge carrier dynamics and transport in semiconductors.  Prof. Rosenwaks is a co-author of more than 170 peer reviewed articles and has presented 70 invited talks at international meetings.

Yoav is a graduate of Tel Aviv University with an MBA in Finance and Technology Management and a BA in Economics, Statistics and operational research. He is now the GM of the free to play WSOP game, which is the number one top grossing poker app in the US.

Previously he served as VP Marketing & Monetization of Playtika Canada, which have seen an outstanding growth under Yoav’s data driven innovative management. Yoav is highly focused on creating data driven cultures, that drives measurable and high performance teams. This approach served him well in growing the different businesses he has been associated with in his career.

Yoav holds more than 20 years of experience in marketing and customer management across many types of industry verticals and he is extremely passionate about analytics. Yoav is a major in the IDF reserves. He also loves extreme sports and a few years ago did a 700 KM bike trip to the Sahara Desert.
