Arnon Zmora z”l Scholarship Fund

On Saturday, June 8th, Chief Inspector Arnon Zmora z”l, a Tel Aviv University alum and an officer of the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit, was shot and critically injured by Hamas terrorists guarding three of the four hostages. He succumbed to his wounds shortly upon arriving at a hospital in Israel.

Chief Inspector Zmora z”l, a graduate of the Department of Philosophy and the Department of East Asian Studies at the Faculty of Humanities, participated in the mission to rescue Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, Shlomi Ziv, and Noa Argamani, which was subsequently renamed “Operation Arnon” in his honour.

Tel Aviv University Canada has set a goal of $100,000 to endow a scholarship in his memory.
