Life in Israel changed forever on October 7. The emotional toll has been immense — People across the country are struggling with stress, trauma, and uncertainty on a daily basis.

At Tel Aviv University (TAU) and across Israel, the impact runs deep. Students, faculty, and staff face academic disruption, financial strain, and an unprecedented mental health crisis. Today, 80% of students report serious emotional distress, including trauma and PTSD.

In response, TAU Canada launched the Trauma to Triumph Campaign – a journey of Healing, Hope, and Resilience.

The Campaign will expand access to mental health care services including:

  • The Post-Trauma Clinic, offering expert, life-changing care and healing.
  • TAU’s Psychological Services Unit, supporting students with anxiety, trauma, depression, and more.
  • The Post-Trauma Orofacial Pain Clinic, combining medicine, psychology, and the arts to support full-body healing.

Voices of Nova: Inspiring Stories of Strength and Heroism

Join us on Wednesday, September 2, TAU Canada will launch its Trauma to Triumph Campaign with a powerful and moving event – Voices of Nova: Inspiring Stories of Strength and Heroism.

For the first time in Canada, Israeli National Hero Rami Davidian and Nova Festival survivors Romi Harari, Zohar Rubinstein, and Amit Parizer will share their powerful stories of courage, survival, healing, hope, and resilience.

On October 7, 2023, Rami, a farmer with no military training, saved over 700 people from the Nova Festival massacre. Among those he saved was a young woman who had been captured by terrorists.

Romi, Zohar, and Amit, three friends attending what was meant to be a joyful festival, found themselves running for their lives. Their testimony will offer a raw, personal glimpse into the events from that day.

Join us for this unforgettable evening of truth, bravery, and healing—because sharing these stories is the first step toward rebuilding.
