An Evening with Meir Shalev

Master storyteller, Meir Shalev,  spoke about his long-anticipated new novel, Two She – Bears. The book reveals a tale of love, betrayal, revenge, loss and salvation. Shalev shared his experience as a writer, delving into a murder story, partially based on true events, and the art of weaving together narratives.

Mr. Shalev was amusing, fascinating, modest & responsive.

Internationally acclaimed author Meir Shalev is one of Israel’s most celebrated novelists. He is the author of more than eight novels, all of which were bestsellers in Israel and Europe. Shalev has won numerous literary prizes, including The National Jewish Book Award, The Prime Minister’s Prize, and the Brenner Prize. He is also a long-time columnist for Yedioth Achronot.
Introduced by Dr. Yael Halevi-Wise, Associate Professor in Judaic Studies and the English Department at McGill University.
