Support The Moshe Dayan Center-The Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands
On May 24, 2017, a special partnership agreement between Tel Aviv University’s MDC and Sephardi Voices was signed. This project represents a vital collaboration, making Sephardi Voices a tailor-made element of the MDC’s Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands.
The unique idea of bringing these two parties together was initiated by Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University‘s Montreal Board Members.
More than half of Israel’s current Jewish population belongs to families who have emigrated or were expelled from the Middle East and North African regions after 1948. Hundreds of thousands more live in North and South America, Great Britain and elsewhere. As memories fade, there is a clear and present danger that the rich legacy of Middle Eastern Jewry will be lost.
For that reason, the Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands will preserve and protect the memory and heritage of these communities, while training cohorts of young researchers who will “carry the torch” for generations to come.
A last chance to preserve the legacy of this 2,500-year-old civilization.
I want to make a dedicated contribution to the Moshe Dayan Center – The Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands
