International Partnership Launch between The Moshe Dayan Center and Sephardi Voices

Canadian Friends of the Tel Aviv University are pleased to announce the
International Partnership Launch between The Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African Studies at Tel Aviv University and Sephardi Voices.

On May 24, 2017, a special partnership agreement between Tel Aviv University’s MDC and Sephardi Voices was signed. This project represents a vital collaboration, making Sephardi Voices  a tailor-made element of the MDC’s Program for the Study of Jews in Arab Lands.

The unique idea of bringing these two parties together was initiated by Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University‘s Montreal Board Members.

Sephardi Voices enables the collection, digitalizing, cataloging and archiving of thousands of oral and visual histories and testimonies from those who were forced to leave their homes in Arab countries in the years following the establishment of the State of Israel.

A last chance to preserve the legacy of this 2,500-year-old civilization!

Beef, Bourbon & Balfour

We are commanded to sit and have a meal in the sukkah.

Let’s start the New Year by lifting our spirits up together and supporting Tel Aviv University!

On Tuesday, October 10th at 7:00pm please join our hosts David and Leanne Matlow in their sukkah for an evening of Beef, Bourbon and Balfour with proceeds benefitting Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University’s Scholarship Program.

We will prepare delicious kosher steaks and for whom the spirit moves them will partake in a bourbon (and scotch) tasting.

Guests will also have the opportunity to see the world’s largest private collection of memorabilia of Theodor Herzl, the visionary of the State of Israel. This will be a great kick off for our new year.

The dinner cost is $180/pp and space is limited. Tax receipts will be issued for the maximum allowable amount.
